To be a Member of the African Airlines Association, an airline shall have its registered office and principal place of business in a State eligible for membership of the African Union (AU) and majority of whose capital is substantially owned by such State or group of such States, the citizens of such State or group of such States and is effectively controlled by such State or nationals of such States.
