AFRAA, for the first time in history, staged a workshop at the world Aviation Festival event.
Themed: “Sustainability of the airline industry in 3D – an African perspective: People, Profit, Planet”, the workshop elaborated the current landscape of African airspace on the 3 pillars of sustainability, the challenges and opportunities for improvement and covered a panel session that discussed specific actions in details, making key recommendations for Africa’s Sustainability Roadmap.

ii. Initiatives to meet the future capacity building needs of the air transport sector in Africa.
iii. The link between diversity and inclusion and the Next Generation of Aviation Professionals (NGAP) for a sustainable Aviation Sector.
iv. Recommendations on Policies which promote gender equity/diversity and inclusion.
