The AFRAA 7th Route Network Committee Meeting was held at Mercure Hotel in Algiers, Algeria on 03 – 05 July 2017.
The meeting took stock of progress on commercial and tactical agreements amongst airlines. Since the launch of the project in 2014, significant progress on cooperation amongst the members has been made. One major recent achievement is the codeshare between EgyptAir and Kenya Airways on seven points and beyond.
The committee welcomed welcomed Nouvelair for the first time since they joined AFRAA as a full member.
SABRE Consulting representative, Mr. Gad Wavomba was in attendance at the meeting and made a presentation on the results of the Net Promoter Score Survey that had been conducted on AFRAA member airlines in 2017. The presentation also alighted customer satisfaction strategies in airline partnership.
The meeting was kindly hosted by Air Algerie and attended by 16 representatives from 6 member airlines including Kenya Airways, Congo Airways, Tunisair, Nouvelair, Air Algerie and Air Burkina. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Gordon Ribiru, Manager Alliances - Middle East and Africa, Kenya Airways.
The next meeting is scheduled in October 2017 and will be hosted by South African Airways in Johannesburg. Further details will be posted in due course.
