The AFRAA Ground Handling Steering Committee held a meeting on 24 February. Members reviewed the outcome of its activities for 2016 and set out its priorities and focus areas for 2017. Among the priorities set for 2017, the Committee targeted the stations for joint lobbying and joint procurement of ground handling services. The action plan for 2017 also covers activities on IGOM and ISAGO implementation, safety and capacity building. The meeting was attended by 14 participants from 7 airlines and was chaired by Mr. Mpho Phillip Sekhamane, Head of Department: Global Operation Control Centre – South African Airways who is also the Chairman of the Committee.
