MTU Maintenance

MTU Maintenance, a business division of MTU Aero Engines, is one of the world’s leading providers of commercial engine maintenance services. The company offers customized and alternative solutions over the entire engine life cycle, allowing airlines to benefit from reduced MRO costs while at the same time maximizing their asset value. MTU’s engine portfolio is among the largest worldwide and includes more than 20 types which cover all thrust classes from small turboprop engines to the largest jet engine ever developed, the General Electric GE90-110B/-115B.

While many MRO providers, when faced with a defective part, may be quick to reach for replacement parts, MTU’s maintenance experts rather repair. Owing to its innovative processes and decades of experience, MTU Maintenance succeeds in repairing heavily worn parts, components and accessories at an affordable price. Its high-tech repair approaches are globally unique and known under the trademark MTUPlus repairs. These have been developed in-house by MTU Maintenance and are approved and certified by EASA and FAA agencies. The techniques used run the gamut from automated selective stripping of coatings to specialty high-temperature brazing, and high-precision welding and joining using automated laser machines.

But MTU Maintenance is more than a repair shop: A compelling choice of individually tailored services, ensure cost-effective and efficient solutions for its customers. These include integrated engine leasing options, MTUPlus Engine Trend Monitoring, LRU management, 24h AOG service, on-site support and on-wing repairs up to Total Engine Care (TEC®) packages for all engine types in its portfolio. MTU Maintenance operates a global network of facilities and representatives offices across all continents.
